Rose Charities sent its first medical team, five days after the earthquake. Rapidly followed by four more teams. We work with local parteners ensuring that help goes to where it is needed. The teams included: surgical teams to St.Marc and Gonaives in the North and a Pediatric team to Port Au Prince.
We are developing a long term pediatric care project in conjunction with the Haitian Pediatric Association and other partners. The project will include physical rehabilitation and counselling.
Rose Charities Canada supports community-based projects in 9 developing countries. All the projects are different but all have the same essential components:
Everyone in Rose Charities Canada is a volunteer so your donation is not wasted on salaries and overheads. We send all of your donation to the overseas projects.
The projects include: an eye clinic and rehabilitation surgery in Cambodia, educational support and counseling in Sri Lanka, micro-credit in Sri Lanka, school building in Madagascar and Uganda, medical education in Kenya, vocational training in Rwanda and training and support for the blind in Vietnam.
