Eye surgery & sight restoration


Rose Charities began a clinic in Phnom Penh Cambodia in 1998. Our aim was to offer simple, safe, effective surgery and medicine to the vast numbers of poor of that country.

Operations such as cataract removal are life changing and relatively simple to perform. Rose Charities surgeons perform over 1,000 such operations free of charge every year, and our clinic is now the most productive eye clinic for the poor.

At a personal level......

Dima recently had the cataracts in both his eyes removed free of charge at Rose's clinic. Being able to see again for someone like Dima, meant that his youngest child no longer had to miss school and lead him everywhere. Dima found work again mending bicycles and his daughter could return to school.
